About the role
Your Purpose
The Maître d’Hotel manages the assigned Dining Outlet operations, motivating and coaching all Dining Service Team members to provide exceptional service to the Guests.
Your Impact
- Ensure compliance with quality and sanitation standards and procedures in all restaurants, crew mess rooms and room service.
- Supervise, coach, evaluate and motivate the Dining Service Team.
- Handles and resolve guest complaints regarding dining quality and service.
- Conducts daily Team briefings or meetings.
- Contributes to cost control through close monitoring of the inventory.
- Supervise and monitor the correct application of food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes.
Your Journey So Far
- Previous experience onboard Luxury/Premium Cruise lines.
- Extensive experience with diverse Luxury/Premium hospitality venues in the dining operations.
- Previous experience in Start Ups/Pre-openings is an advantage.
- Intermediate knowledge on food safety.
- Excellent management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.
- Proficiency in Computers. Microsoft programs to include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Any additional European language is considered an advantage.
Your Essentials
- Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
- Food Safety/HACCP certificate required.
