Galley Steward Head
A Galley Steward cleans all food preparation areas and equipment according to USPH regulations and the company’s environmental program. You will also transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; load/unload supplies in the provision room; assist in food-related pre-preparation tasks; and perform other tasks as needed. If you have kitchen steward experience, preferably in an upscale restaurant, hotel, cruise ship, or high-volume food service facility, then we’d like you to join us at sea!
Hiring Requirements
- Minimum one-year previous kitchen steward experience, preferably in a fast-pacedrestaurant Environment, hotel or high-volume food service facility.
- Experience cleaning complicated kitchen equipment.
- Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.
Internal Candidate Requirements
In addition to the stated hiring requirements, internalcandidates are required to fulfill the following:
· Completion of one contract with a performance rating of satisfactory orabove. · USPH and onboard hygiene knowledge ad compliance · Exceptional knowledge of Clean as we go and all other onboard operationalpolicies, basic mathematic and cost awareness.
Language Requirements
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctlyand cordially with guests.
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpretwritten procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructionsin written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respondto questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
